Team Buidings

Aprendi em minhas aulas na University of La Verne quatro passos para a solução de problemas na construção de equipes de alta performance.

Os utilizo no meu dia a dia. Bem, eu não precisei decorar a fórmula e nem recomendo, todavia o espírito da coisa é este mesmo. Se você não conhece ou não o aplica, ai está.

Falar é bem mais fácil do que fazer, no meu ponto de vista, você deve se conhecer bem e ter a mente livre de preconceitos para agir com nitidez. (Fica a dica)

Team Buildings

Four steps to solution problems on team:

    1. Confront the problem, Head On

         The problem within the team must be dealt with, the earlier the better and must be dealt with all team. Some cases could be initialized an individual, but the presence with the others will solidify the commitment of the difficult team member to any resultant corrective actions.

    2. Point Out the Behaviors that are causing problems for the team

         Formula suggested by Whetton and Cameron (1995) =
                             I have a problem. When you do X, Y results, and I fell Z.
         X = the specific negative behavior
         Y = the observable consequences
         Z = the feelings associated with the response.

         Example: "John, when you come late to the meeting [behavior], we have less time to meet as a team [consequence], and I worry that we won't be able to finish this project in the allotted time [feelings]".

    3. Determine solution and success measures

         "People align with their clear commitments. Make [them] active, public, and voluntary." Robert Cialdini (2001)
         Is time to involve all team member in the determination of the solution and decide how to measure success. The measure should be objective and easily observable.

    4. Accountability

         If doesn't work, punitive consequences must be initiated. And is not appropriate for a single team member instead of the punishment must be doing for all team members. (recent study showed that, but I afraid is totally correct follow this sample).
